LaseMD Before and After Photos
LaseMD
DLVSC is the first practice in the United States to offer LaseMD. This fractional anti-aging device is designed to stimulate cell turnover in the deeper layers of the skin. LaseMD is also able to deliver powerful cosmeceuticals such as Retinol (Vitamin A) or Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) into the skin more efficiently. Consequently, this improved delivery method enhances the benefits of using these cosmeceuticals on the skin. We use LaseMD for anti-aging, skin brightening, textural improvements & more.
FAQs
What is LaseMD treatment like?
Before starting your LaseMD treatment, you will have a short “prep” period when we’ll take photos and apply topical numbing cream to your skin. After your numbing is complete, we’ll cleanse your skin and begin the procedure. During treatment, you’ll feel little more than a warm, tingling or prickling type of sensation on the skin. If you are particularly pain sensitive, we have extra options available for managing any potential discomfort. However, the majority of patients are very comfortable during their LaseMD treatment. During your initial consultation appointment we’ll discuss how many treatments you need to achieve the desired results. Typically, a series of sessions will be recommended, depending on the ultimate goal.
What are the side effects of LaseMD?
In general, side effects from LaseMD are minimal and returning to your normal daily activities is not restricted at all. Very mild redness or warmth of the skin may occur in the first few hours after treatment but this quickly fades. In addition, your skin will likely have a rough “sandpaper” feel to it for 1-2 weeks after the procedure. However, this is completely normal and isn’t really visible to the naked eye.
Is there any downtime?
No, LaseMD doesn’t typically result in any physical downtime. The energy from this laser targets the deeper dermal level to produce improvements and as a result, the surface of the skin is minimally impacted. Therefore, the results from your LaseMD treatments will begin to appear gradually and truly occur from the inside out. Also, and most importantly, sunscreen should be applied diligently in the two weeks before AND after treatment to further improve your outcome, ensure proper healing and maintain the results moving forward.
When will I see results from LaseMD?
Improvements in your skin’s texture and appearance will be noticeable after your skin has healed from the treatment, so approximately one week – give or take a few days. Certainly, with subsequent sessions in your treatment plan the cumulative impact of your results will continue to get better and stand out.
How long will my LaseMD results last?
The benefits of this LaseMD are long-lasting but they aren’t permanent because your skin will continue to age in the years following treatment. In order to get the most out of your LaseMD treatments, we’ll review your at-home skin care regimen and may recommend changes in your skin care routine that will improve your outcome. Likewise, an annual or bi-annual touch-up treatment can help with maintaining your results.
